About Us

Welcome to BoardReviewer. This is a free set of over 506 high yield questions written by a team of students and physicians from St. Louis University, the University of Washington, Washington University in St. Louis, the University of Toronto, and the University of Michigan. Our questions are designed to facilitate rapid review for the USMLE step one. If you have any questions about the site or are having any problems please contact us. Below are some answers to frequently asked questions.

Can I Add Questions?

Yes! We made this site since we think the best way to learn a test is to think about how it is written. We hope that you will so that this resource will become more valuable to you and those who come after you. Just go to the create page to start writing them. We are planning on adding editing and custom flashcard deck options soon.

Is The Site Growing?

We are always trying to add new questions and features. Right now we are working on a user profile page, custom test building, and explanations. If you have any other ideas for features you would like to see please tell us.

How Does Scoring Work?

Right now scoring just show you how many you got correct and wrong. However we keep track of question averages, and average times and once we have enough data we will allow you to see how you are performing against the masses.

How Do I Study Only A Certain Category?

The buttons on the options page allow you to turn off certain categories of questions. For example if you think you know everything there is to know about the renal system you can just click the renal button so it turns red and save your options and you will get no more flashcards related to the renal system.

Nothing Happens When I Click Answers!

You need to have a browswer that supports CSS and has javascript enabled in order to use see the site properly. We reccomend either Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer 7.

How Is This Free?

The advertising you see on the site pays to cover the costs. Well at least we hope it will someday.

What If I Think A Question Is Wrong?

If you find an error in a question please click the link to flag it (at the bottom of each card) or contact us and let us know the question number (at the bottom right of each card). We go through the questions and error reports everyday and need your help in finding mistakes.
